Hanover West

Hanover West is made up of roughly 100 homes developed originally in the 1960s, sitting along Peachtree Creek south of Peachtree Battle between Defoors Ferry Road and Bohler Road. Any resident of the neighborhood will quickly tell you that the private swim/tennis club in the center of the neighborhood (a rarity in Buckhead) is the social glue that holds the neighborhood together. Situated close to the Westside and central Buckhead and inside the Morris Brandon school district. The Hanover West Neighborhood Association hosts many activities with the Garden Club, Swim Team, neighborhood parties and events. Haynes Manor

Often referred to as Buckhead’s River District, Paces is nestled into a broad curve of the Chattahoochee River. Home to The Westminster Schools and Lovett, these elite private schools attract many families to the neighborhood, resulting in a nice “bump” in the real estate market every year when acceptance letters go out.
 
An exclusive area, residences include predominantly single-family homes, but you will find very nice townhomes tucked away between subdivisions. Otherwise known for its famous duck pond and adjacent to Garden Hills, between East Paces Ferry and Lindberg. Since its development began in the early 1900s, Peachtree Heights East has maintained a perfectly charming atmosphere that harkens back to its founding days. Duck Pond Park in the center of Peachtree Heights East is the neighborhood’s own storybook setting admired by all who visit. This tiny paradise in the city has been lovingly preserved, protected, and cultivated by the proud residents.
 
This active neighborhood supports several groups to enhance the community: the Peachtree Heights East Neighborhood Association operates a security patrol and offers member-discounts for Park (Duck Pond) rentals, while the Ladies of the Lake (LOL) Garden Club welcomes new residents and runs neighborhood social events. Their annual fundraiser, held the first Sunday in May, is a much-looked-forward-to event for the whole Buckhead community. The annual floating of the jack-a-lantern at Halloween is a definite highlight of the season.
 
Three elementary schools are within walking distance for most neighbors. Christ the King School, a private Catholic school run by the Archdiocese of Atlanta is K-8 (www.christking.org). Garden Hills Elementary School (K-6) is part of the Atlanta Public School System and the private Atlanta International School (K-12) next door offers bi-lingual learning in French, German, Chinese and Spanish.
 

Peachtree Heights West

Often referred to as the finger bowl of Buckhead! For generations Peachtree Heights West has been a choice neighborhood for the long-time Buckhead residents. When a home becomes available, there are usually several buyers who have been “waiting” on it for a decade or two.

West Paces Ferry Rd and Peachtree Rd intersection, where Whole Foods, the St Regis Hotel and many of Buckhead’s popular boutique shops and restaurants are located. The luxury retail district, Buckhead Atlanta, is right around the corner, and Peachtree Hills’ Peachtree Battle Shopping Center is just to the south.
 
 

Peachtree Hills

Peachtree Hills is one of Buckhead’s coziest neighborhoods. It’s located just east of Peachtree Road between Peachtree Creek on the south and Lindbergh Drive on the north.
